Massage Therapy

With over 20 years experience treating everyBODY - from prenatal to geriatric

The road to becoming an RMT started with a baseball, a hematoma and a colleague studying to become an Aromatherapist. After attending the University of Guelph and initially wanting to pursue teaching, my path was diverted by the aforementioned baseball incident. Instead, I attended the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Kitchener, Ontario. After 2200 hours I graduated with a focus on sports massage (because regardless of the cause, playing sports or falling off a ladder, the injury and healing models are the same - albeit maybe more intense for professional athletes!) . Since then my career has expanded into a family focussed practice with many years of compounded education and knowledge. I work with seniors and infants alike. EveryBODY is welcome.

I started teaching Spinning® and have been in the Health and Fitness Industry since. I quickly realized how a focused exercise programme improved my own health and well being and knew I wanted to help others also achieve better health and vitality.

In 2001 I became a personal trainer and soon started referring clients for massage. It was obvious how much good nutrition and massage enhanced my clients‘ health and impacted their fitness programmes. I knew that I could continue to build my toolbox and provide additional support and thus became a Holistic Life Coach in 2006 and Registered Massage Therapist in 2008.

While continuing to work as an RMT I have also travelled around the world and studied other complementary therapies including Reiki, Thai Reflexology, Tuina, Acupuncture, and various courses at the C.H.E.K Institute, etc.

For me, ongoing education is important for the work I do and the treatments I provide.

I am committed to helping others improve their quality of life and become more vital through massage therapy and I consider myself fortunate to provide care in such an impactful way.
